Fort Pierce has one part of the market where prices and sales both rose
Team Coley has watched this market for twenty years. Most of it softened in the three months ending August 31, 2026. One ZIP code did not.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 128 homes sold in ZIP 34982 that period. That is up 13.3% from the same months in 2025. The median sale price rose 10%, to $298,066. Both numbers moved up at the same time. That does not happen in most of Fort Pierce right now.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator put months of supply in 34982 at 4.3. That is tighter than every other ZIP code in this market. Fewer homes competing for buyers puts sellers in a better spot on price.
Homes did take longer to sell. The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows a median of 109 days, 23 days longer than the same period in 2025. Not every home sold fast. But more of them sold, and at higher prices.
How 34982 compares with the rest of the market

Mortgage rates are making buyers careful everywhere
Realtor.com reported that mortgage rates topped 7% in September 2026, the first time since January 2025. That slows buyers down across the board.
Realtor.com also reported that 20.8% of listings nationally took a price cut in September 2026, the highest share since October 2022. That matches what the Real Estate Data Aggregator shows in most Fort Pierce ZIP codes: prices dipped, sales slowed.
CNBC reported that pending home sales nationally were down 8.5% year over year in September. The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows the same pull in most of this market. 34982 held up anyway.
What this means if you own or are buying here
If you own in 34982, the numbers support a firm price. Supply is tight. Sales are up. Buyers are still moving.
If you own in another ZIP, the picture is more mixed. The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows prices down in every other ZIP code this period. That does not mean your home is in trouble. It means price and terms matter more than they did a year ago.
One street can read differently from the whole ZIP code. These are three-month averages. Your block may be ahead of them or behind them.
